Tryon Palace
During spring break, I decided to go back to the beginning where North Carolina started. Good ol' New Bern. It is a quaint town that has great history including the original Pepsi Store that I boycott taking photos of because it is only for commercial use and no really history is preserved except a 20 min video. However if you want to get a drink of Pepsi from modern old time tape and buy Pepsi shoestrings, I think you should definitely go there. Otherwise just watch the history channel. They have a great show about Pepsi and Coke.
Anyway, back to the beginning! The original New Bern Tryon Palace burned down, but in the 1950's the town renovated what was left and it is a beautiful Historic Downtown with tours and beautiful gardens. It rained most of the day and we were blessed with a little sunshine at all the right moments when were were outside. Here are a few pictures!

It's amazing what a girl has to do to get a drink of water around here.
This was a beautiful flower all by itself in a garden.
But, look how beautiful it is. :)
I love the flower gardens here and tulips are my favorite!
I definitely pick a fantastic season to come.
Where is Suzanna? This was another beautiful garden there.

Great to see the pics from your recent trips. I have to add Mayberry to the list of things to do.
